Hi, I’m Cathy
My career didn't start in design, I spent a decade in the nonprofit sector managing donor relationships, then moved into selling healthcare and HR software where I sat across the table from clinicians, administrators, and people ops leaders trying to use tools that were failing them. Along the way I realized what I loved most was design; finding new ways to make people's lives easier and making the experience look and feel great. So I made the jump.
Now I'm a Senior UX Designer working on enterprise products with data that's difficult to interpret and users who need help understanding what actions to take to improve their metrics. I've designed AI-enabled analytics dashboards now used by over 200 hospitals, advocated for removing an AI feature that eroded user trust rather than ship something that didn't work, and led design through organizational pivots, leadership changes, and hard deadlines. I care about getting it right more than getting it done fast.
My background in sales and relationship management shapes how I work. I'm comfortable in rooms with executives, easy to collaborate with across engineering and product, and genuinely curious about the people I'm designing for. I thrive on problems that don't have obvious answers.
Recently I've been exploring how AI can enhance design — from streamlining prototyping workflows to analyzing voice-of-customer data for more informed decisions. I'm particularly interested in designing AI-augmented experiences that add genuine value without sacrificing user trust.
Outside of work, I'm usually adventuring with my two dogs, deep in a K-drama, or exploring new places with my husband. I'd love to connect about interesting projects, collaboration opportunities, or just chat about design (and dogs).
